Sensei Arámbulo, Gigin Hiramatsu Hanshi y otras luminarias del pasado
|
Henry Arámbulo Sensei was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela on the 19th day of November, 1967. Started
training at the age of 5 and tried different martial arts including Tiger style Kung fu under Sifu Parazzi
of Italy and Jean Pierre Crameri of France, until joining the dojo of Hanshi Gigin Hiramatsu in 1990,
and stayed with the Master until his passing in 1997.
During this period of time, he not only developed his own karate and kobudo studies but was also a
strong supporter of his Sensei, and helped him spread the benefits and good example of the
Okikukendo style of martial arts in Venezuela.
Sensei Arámbulo has open up several dojo where he still teaches today, and presides over a large
group of students eager to follow his steps.
Henry Sensei has also studied the philosophy of Buddhism, and belongs to the Chan school of the
Hsu Yun Order, and continues to work in Zen art as a plastic artist, Haiku or Zen poetry and he is a
keen chess player.
He is soon to be ordained a Buddhist monk of the Order Hsu by the Reverend Chuan Zhi Shakya,
abbot of the Order in the EEUU.
Sensei´s greatest asset is his wife Delimar, a follower of the martial arts herself and recently graded
Nidan in Goju Ryu karate. She is at present also running her own dojo and helping out with the
management of the School in the Zulia State, Maracaibo.
It is for this reasons, that the Directors of the KKGKK decided to offer Sensei Henry the opportunity to
belong in our Association. Not only because he truly represents the spirit of the martial arts, but also
because as a devotee of a culture which no only teaches us about love and compassion, he also
represents the true philosophies of life. His exemplary work with people of very little or no income
at all, and the importance he places on the development of these students regardless of their social
status, makes him an honest and professional equity to our Association.
The KKGKK has designated Sensei Arámbulo as our Representative for the country of Venezuela, and
we are sure he will represent the true and honorable values we also endeavour to represent in the
field of Martial Arts.
